Some instructors will make a copy of a textbook available for in library use as a course reserve, and there are a few older editions of textbooks in the general collection, but these should not be considered a suitable replacement for the edition required in your syllabus.
If you'd like your textbook to be placed on reserve in the library, speak with your professor.
