How do I get access to Full Text in PubMed?

Answer

PubMed collects or indexes content from journals around the world and puts them together in an interface to search through.  Because these articles come from all over, PubMed directs the user most often to their full text (PMC Free Full Text) when available or full text from the journal publisher's website.

For PMC free full text in PubMed, click the icon that says PMC Free Full Text at the top of the right hand column.  On the page that opens, click on the PDF link at the top of the right hand column.

To access articles not marked PMC Free Full Text, you will want to request the article by filling out our InterLibrary Loan Form. Remember that articles can take 24/48 hours up to a week and will be sent directly to your Goodwin email.
